Ken Weil is a native of Alabama and a 1980 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. He has been a Seattle-area resident since 1983. He has been in solo practice since January 1995. In 1997, he served as a member of the Tax Advisory Committee to the National Bankruptcy Review Commission. He is a founding member and Past Chair of the ABA Tax Section Committee on Collections, Bankruptcy and Workouts. He has been a volunteer at the King County Bar Association's debt clinic since 1995. He is married to CPA Pamela K. Wilcut. He has two children and five grandchildren.
